Dear All,

 

I would like to make a special invitation to you all to attend the visit of Christopher Yuan and his parents.  Christopher experienced a very tortuous path in his life.  But God gave him a new life and what a difference it has made on him.  Below is the link that you can take a quick view of a snapshot of his own testimony.  He is being well used by the Lord to give testimony and message around the world.  Please note the dates of his visit in our Sunday bulletin and poster at the lobby of Morrison.  There will be discussion mostly led by him on what the Bible says about homosexuality, messages to the youth and parents, personal testimonies, Q & A, etc.  If you would like to know about him and his family, please drop by the Portable earlier this coming Sunday and we plan to give you a preview of him on camera.  You can grab your breakfast, sit in the big room and enjoy the short clip.  Afterward, we will have our regular Sunday school classes.  See you all.

Annoucements this Week

1.  This coming Sunday, 9/23, there will be a special sharing regarding Christopher Yuan at 9:20am in the portable.  Please come early and enjoy breakfast too.

     10/12-10/14: Christopher Yuan and his parents will be sharing about his
journey as a homosexual and God's story of redemption in their lives.

  袁幼軒教授和他的父母將於10月12日到14日三天應邀於本教會分享他們的經歷見證及聖經中有關同性戀及子女教導等專題, 機會難得, 請預留時間參加。

2.  教會２０１３年執事提名委員會已正式成立.   

            華語堂 代表是姚碧玉 (Ping) 姊妹, 邊步明 (Buming)弟兄；

            英語堂代表是 Winston Woo, Miranda Wojciechowski;  

            粵語堂代表是岑詠虹 (Wing) 姊妹, 關啟照 (Bill)弟兄。

            召集人是姚碧玉姊妹。如弟兄姊妹有合適人選要提名或有建議,  

            請在９月３０日前向提名委員或各堂牧者或長老提出。

            並請大家為２０１３年執事會提名代禱。

    The Deacon Nominating Committee for 2013 has Bill Kwan and Wing Lee as Cantonese Congregation representatives.  Please contact them or Pastor Stanley Chow with nominations by Sept 30.   

3.  Praise the Lord that all the Church Bonds have been sold.

4.  教會宣教年會 Mission Conference is the weekend of Sat, Oct 20, 7pm.  

      The Cantonese speaker is 蔡偉成牧師 Rev. Wilson Tsoi from First Chinese Baptist Church, Walnut, CA.

Cantonese Fellowship Annual Outing

This coming Saturday, Sept 8 is CF annual outing.
Place: Buescher State Park
Time: 10am - 2pm
Entrance Fee: $2 /person (13 years old and above)
Program: Games. Fellowship, Relaxin', Fishing, Hiking, Biking (bring your own bike, fishing rods and other equipment)

Please note the following:

1. Lunch: Every small group will take care of the lunch by themselves. Your SG leader should have already contacted you. According to the information package, there is a full kitchen for heating food. Plus, a BBQ pit that we can use.

2. Car-pool: Please coordinate among your group for car-pool. If any help is need, please contact Kam or Daniel Wu for help.

3. Map and direction: Click here.

4. Fees: Please tell the park ranger Austin Chinese Church and the entrance fees will be $2.00 / per person 13 years and older. There may be a lower rate for Senior citizens.

5. Fishing: Bring your own fishing rod. (No license is require because is in a state park).

6.  No Swimming, the lake is for fishing only.
